Support Rebates Application on z/OS Mainframe named Rebate Payment System (RPS).
· Develop and support components using COBOL, JCL,CICS, DB2, and VSAM
· Triage and troubleshoot job failures and out of balance tables using SQL.
· Troubleshoot incident (Failures/ Missing or Invalid data, Delayed data), Problem (Repeated incidents not permanently fixed) & Change Management (Bug/ Break fixes, Enhancements)
· Monitor and tune the job streams for a better performance and reduce the impact of overhead.
· Track and Manager Incidents using Service Now.
· Support over-night job failures including responding to pages, text message, and phone calls after business hours
· Rotation plans are 12 hours a day, 7 days every other week while maintaining an average of 40 hours per week
· Respond and assist business users with requests and concerns on system performance, data updates and application failures.
· Work independently and as a team member with support staff and application developers
· Develop test plans and assess performance data, including unit and integration testing as needed
· Responsible for reviewing functional and design documentation to ensure a complete understanding of the project deliverables, and in particular, identifying testing requirements, mapping testing specifications, and designing the test coverage plan for the testing of stored procedures, jobs, and triggers.
· Utilize concepts and techniques of advanced mathematics and algorithms, engineering, computer applications, computer science, computer information systems, IT, the technical sciences, and/or related areas.
