• Competent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.

• Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.

• Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.

• Drives application development focused around delivering business valuable features.

• Maintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

• Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Technical Skills:

• Experience in Metadata Management role within a large corporation preferably high tech or technology manufacturing.

• Understanding of information management concepts such as controlled vocabularies, authority control, data modeling, and schema design.

• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture concepts.

Required:

• 3+ years exp Metadata managers (ex. Erwin Mapping Manager)

• 5+ years exp Metadata Cataloging Tools (ex. Collibra)

• 3+ years exp Big Data and Cloud Technology (AWS, Data Lakes, Snowflake)

• 3+ years exp File format (XML, JSON)

• 3+ years exp Object Oriented Development (at least one of: Python(preferred), Java, Javascript, C++, Scala)

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or Electrical engineering or related field is required.

• 10 years or more of software development experience/metadata experience

• or at least 5 year of experience with master’s degree in computer science or related field.
