ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Identify, design, and develop data analytics extract routines to support selected audits within the annual audit plan
- Produce data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel or other reporting tools
- Develop and support analytics solutions for continuous auditing
- Handle data extractions, storage, transformation, and processing through data analytics routines, and generate output for analysis and discussion with the audit team
- Collaborate with audit team members to find opportunities to use data analytics to support data profiling to better understand distribution and determine analytics strategies
- Champion and promote the use of data analytics techniques to internal audit teams to evaluate large data sets for trends and anomalies within internal audit
- Verify accuracy of reports and provide insights
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals
FUNCTIONAL JOB COMPETENCIES
- Basic knowledge of SQL, importing/exporting data sets, creation of stored procedures
- Knowledge of robotics process automation tools (UIPath), SSRS, SSIS, Visual Studio and/or PowerBI preferred
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Ability to plan and execute projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present concise conclusions
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position
- A minimum of 3-5 years related professional level work experience; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Mortgage industry experience is a plus
