Client develops cutting edge innovative closed-loop analytics solutions, enabling insights-driven decision making across the enterprise. We collaborate with multiple functional areas and impact every element of our business: corporate, security, networks, retail, IT, and others.

We are looking for a result-oriented software engineer to be part of the team building automation solutions working with a team of other software developers and network and systems engineers. You will be taking ownership of the automation solution, maintaining front end app, and team portal including some UI changes, building and integrating with custom backend APIs. You will need to understand the business objectives, think like an end-user, and know that 90% done is only half done. You love beautiful, simple user interfaces, and you constantly wonder what you could have done to simplify your last project. You are passionate about e2e architecture and design, focusing on flexibility and scalability. You will work on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Normally receives little instruction on daily work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments

Essential Functions

• You will be responsible for developing and managing automation solutions integrating with APIs and Splunk environment backend systems.

• You will be developing custom apps for integrating Ansible APIs for interacting with RHEL servers

• You will be enhancing the team portal website with feature updates

• You will be supporting the DevOps team to identify opportunities to automate operational tasks.

• The role will require extensive experience and knowledge of Ansible, Gitlab, and CI/CD tools.

• Participate in technical design discussions, influencing the team in strategic decisions

• Responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management/leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Required

• 5+ years’ experience in software development

• 5+ years’ experience in Python development

  experience with DevOps or Build Engineer (CI/CD, Git)

• 5+ years’ experience with Ansible

• Strong experience with automating workflows

• UI web development experience

• Strong experience in Python and shell scripting

• In-depth, hands-on experience with Linux, networking, server, and cloud architectures

• Experience working in virtualization environments

• Splunk knowledge is a Plus

• Experience with PHP development

• Experience with hands-on deployments of applications on Kubernetes platforms and clusters

• Experience with containers and orchestration services like Docker, Kubernetes etc.

• Experience in deploying ML models

• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably from a science or engineering background
