JOB DESCRIPTION:
About the role: This person will join Aflac Digital’s Application Development team to support the hands-on development strategy of a software platform that is utilized by Aflac’s entire Enterprise for Benefit Enrollment. Big opportunity to join a rapidly growing team during both software and cloud transformation initiatives, supporting the strategic solutions utilized by both internal and external end-users globally!
Responsibilities:
· Develop, maintain, and integrate application software, related project management activity, and production support
· Participate in project planning sessions with stakeholders, BAs, and other team members to analyze development requirements and make recommendations for moderate to complex systems
· Test and implement application modules for multiple systems the team has developed or modified, ensuring applications meets the needs of client and business
· Correct defects and implement new features – providing unit testing and post implementation support
· Provide design recommendations, developing and integrating programs per written specifications
Requirements:
· 5+ years’ experience as an Angular Developer (must be framework specific Angular Developers, not Frontend/UI Developers with Angular experience!)
o Angular version 7 framework & newer (11 is a plus)
· Extensive experience with TypeScript & JavaScript
· Strong experience in an Agile environment – experience leading projects
· Unit testing experience
· Strong communication skills w/ ability to work across SDLC teams to understand business requirements, develop, integrate, & implement application software
· B.S. Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
· Insurance Product experience
· Strong AWS Cloud experience
· Extensive Angular 11 knowledge
· Experience as a team lead over software development team
