As a Senior Cyber Security Architect, you're a key member of the COE team. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end success of new product and security specific feature definitions, standards, and implementation.
Collaborate with and influence engineering teams to design, build out and support IT aspects of Internet-of-Things (IoT) environments including lab, Edge Computing, data center and Cloud based environments that support Parker and 3rd Party IoT platforms.
Perform benchmarking of existing solutions to plan for Parker security standards. Standards will then drive new product development and process for continuous cyber security evaluation. Plan the cyber security framework and roadmaps. Develop methods to audit and verify compliance.
Be the Subject Matter Expert with focus areas of Security, Identity, Data Integration, Infrastructure and Cloud. Acting as the product owner for a key 'security' component you will drive requirement definition based on competitive analysis and customer needs.
Support IoT cyber security gateway and cloud software needs, including development, compliance, and certificates.
Be a Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Parker, Parker Engineering and Product teams and Department of Defense customers to remove blockers and influence the roadmap.
Identify and create technical training and development plans to enable product teams to make use of reference code and to interface with management portals. Mentor or serve as an expert resource and share specialized knowledge with others.
Coordinate with other internal engineering services teams such as Connected CoE, hardware, and firmware teams to write product requirements, execute on development efforts, and guide joint technology roadmaps.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics and 8+ years in cyber security engineering experience, designing complex, multi-layered solutions in global, distributed environments. Master's degree (MS) preferred.
Strong foundation in security domains such as web security, cloud services security, identity/access management, web application firewalls, intrusion detection, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, web application security assessments and static analysis and dynamic application security testing
Knowledge and practice of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, C#, etc.) and/or scripting, infrastructure as code etc.
Familiar with NIST, IEC, UL and/or ISO security standards. Functional safety knowledge is nice to have.
Experience with mobile or edge computing applications and complex backend systems. Along with working on IoT data transport protocols such as MQTT, OPCUA, UDP, TCP, Multicast and HTTP.
Strong background developing microservice architectures, high volume processing solutions, web-based applications using deployment architectures such as Docker and Kubernetes and Microsoft technologies.
Direct hands-on experience designing and implementing security solutions on the Microsoft Azure Cloud or AWS platforms
Familiar with RF (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, LTE), CAN bus, J1939 and serial protocols, highly desired.
Ability to foster teamwork and inclusion with diverse groups of employees. Ability to guide and develop the team by providing challenging assignments and through effective coaching, feedback, recognition, and skill assessment and training.
Ability to effectively communicate and present status, actions, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision.
