Type: 1-year Contract Position (possible extension)
Required Tech/Experience (Manager won’t consider candidates without the following):
1.            Strong Project Management Experience through all phases (Knowledge of Define, Explore, Develop, Implement Phases and Vendor Contract Management experience.)
2.            PMP Certification
3.            Retail Experience Preferred - Merchandising Systems 
4.            SDLC and Infrastructure Experience 
5.            Financial tracking and make sure to keep projects within budget 
Preferred:
 
1. Gold Merchandising System Experience 
2. Larger Retail
 
Duties & Responsibilities: What major responsibilities does this position have and what percentage of time is spent on completing them? (Typically 5 – 7
             Manage Projects using the Dollar General PMO SOP and IT TGP:
o             Define phase: Assist in the preparation of the business case, assist in the assembly of reports for IT Steering Committee Gate 1 decision.
o             Explore phase: Create and Facilitate project kick-off presentation, create project charter and facilitate project charter review meeting, create and manage program/project documentation storage, facilitate sessions to identify business and technical requirements, facilitate project work-breakdown sessions, create and manage project schedules, facilitate proof-of-concept exercises, facilitate IT Security Assessment review, facilitate and complete all Gate 2 prep activities, assist in the assembly of  reports for IT Steering Committee Gate 2 decision.
o             Develop/Validate phases: Manage and control the project management process, involve the appropriate decision makers when faced with road blocks, facilitate weekly project control calls, ensure SDLC requirements are completed,  IT change control processes are followed, utilize project change management processes, report weekly on project progress, create and verify Stoplight reports, liaise frequently with IT department managers and business function managers to provide a steady flow of communication.  Facilitate successful system, end to end, and user acceptance testing with internal and/or external resources.
o             Implement/Measure phases: Act as a conduit of status information during go-live implementations, in accordance with the project plan – ensure ongoing support services are ready and online, conduct post-project review (“lessons learned” sessions), execute activities to close out the project.
o             Vendor Contract Management:  Assist in acquiring Legal department approvals of pending contracts utilizing defined workflow processes; communicate vendor escalations (Risks, Issues, Concerns, and Schedule).    70%
             Manage, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot Project Server, and SharePoint.    20%
             Troubleshoots, corrects, and assist PMs with project plan, timesheet, and OME issue and enhancements.                10%
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): What KSAs are required to perform this job?
             Demonstrable leadership skills: consultative supervision, ability to influence others, ability to manage all levels of the organization.
             Project planning and tracking experience using project management software (preferred)
             Ability to effectively implement the Standard Operating Procedures of the PMO and the Technology Governance Process to achieve their strategic objectives.
             Ability to efficiently manage (5-6) cross-functional, medium to large-sized projects with an average duration greater than 12 months.
             Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form; good listening skills
             Knowledge of and/or experience with systems development methodology and/or Infrastructure management.
             Delegation and follow-up skills, with emphasis on adherence to deadlines.
             Ability to proactively identify project Risk, Issue, and Action Items, and facilitate identification of alternate solutions; resolve conflicts; and create lasting, productive partnerships with clients.
 
Work Experience &/or Education: What are the minimum education and/or experience requirements necessary to perform this job?
             Four years minimum experience in IT required
             PMP required
             Bachelor’s degree preferred
             Retail experience preferred
