The Analyst will design, build, and maintain an automation test platform ensuring high quality standards, with a goal of stability, reliability, and clear reporting to support all regression testing activities performed by the HIX User Acceptance Test (UAT) team. He/she will work closely with the UAT test manager and development team to create the testing automation strategy, work the technical teams to maintain the environment, identify components for automation, design, develop and execute the test cases for stub data, services, and web application testing across the entire HIX/IES system.

JOB DUTIES (Detailed Statement of Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Develop and maintain test automation framework using Data driven and Page Object models for scripting and TestNG Framework for executing cases and Reports.
  • Develop and maintain complex automated regression test suite, which includes Test Script development and execution of Test Cases for end-to-end UAT testing, and automated defects and results reporting.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and development team to evaluate complex user requests, projects and clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs
  • Develop test cases and test scripts for new HIX functionalities and update relevant technical documentation. 
  • Executed automation and manual testing for functional and regression testing for each cycle - check the integrity of overall functionality to ensure no new issues have been introduced.
  • Perform end-to-end testing activities - application creation in Agent, Assistor and Individual portals, verifying the Eligibility Results, validating MMIS XMLs, and validating notices.
  • Perform core testing working on different eligibility screens in HIX and validating the Medicaid program determination results after application submission.
  • Execute regression automation scripted test case when needed through to troubleshoot issues. 
  • Participate in the defect triage meeting and provide information about the defects by MassHealth UAT team to Optum and Hcentive
  • Participate in cross team test case scenarios reviews.
  • Support adhoc scenarios requested by business. Provide necessary support to system integrator vendor (Optum) when they have questions about defects logged. 
  • Participate in HIPAA training sessions and CMS training.
  • Log and maintain update to date defect information in the defect management tool ALM and Develop Test Summary Reports after each cycle. 
  • Submit daily Test Summary Reports for each cycle.
  • Participate in joint testing with CCA, Optum, Hcentive and QSSI to validate the HIX application.

REQUIRED SKILLS (Special Skill Set, Abilities, Knowledge):

  • Experience with HIX system /Healthcare standards is must.
  • Broad knowledge of testing approaches and techniques for certifying software acceptance.
  • Experience in developing test automation frameworks using Selenium, Junit/TestNG, REST Assured tools.
  • Expertise in JAVA programming and a good understanding of object-oriented design techniques. 
  • Expertise in test management, build and CI/CD tools like ALM, Maven, Jenkins, and XL Deploy as preferred.
  • Expertise in SAS, SOL, PL-SQL, Oracle SQL Developer, C, C++, Java, and .NET.
  • Expertise in backend testing and writing SQL queries, including complex subqueries and joins.
  • Experience working with Oracle database 
  • Experience in HP ALM or Jira or similar products.
  • Experience working with HP Quality Center, IBM Clear Quest, Database, IBM Test Manager, HP Load Runner, HP QTP, MIP internal tool, FORTRAN, and MS Office software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - the ability to work independently – the ability to work in project teams and a broad audience providing relevant quality assurance support.
  • Highly analytical and able to analyze test results and be confident in making decisions and recommendations.
  • Experienced in reviewing the work of business analysts, junior and test analysts to ensure well-defined requirements contribute to defined functional use cases. 
  • Experience Validating MMIS XMLS and Hub XMLS
  • Knowledge of HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) And Jira tools,
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
  • Government and or Healthcare prior experience desired.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Years’ Experience, Certificates)

  • BS in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience black-box, white-box, functional, smoke, and regression testing.
