MDH will designate workstreams to be supported by the program, and the program manager will plan, organize, and lead project delivery and product management activities.
Duties:
- Provides leadership for the program office. Works closely with MDH executive business and technical leadership to promote the long term sustainability of assigned workstreams.
- Works closely with the Chief Technology Officer for the management of new workstream intake, planning, forecasting, preparation of budgets and proposals, and management of significant risks and issues.
- Oversees and actively manages workstreams to ensure high levels of quality.
- Manages day-to-day interactions with customers and sponsors.
- Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of workstream activities, including those of interagency partners, outside contractors, and other delivery partners.
- Oversees the development of or develops project reports and artifacts.
- Establishes and alters corporate management structure to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Motivates and leads cross-functional teams and manages stakeholder groups at various levels of the organization to build trust and forge critical consensus.
- Meets legal, regulatory, and policy mandates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or other related discipline. Master’s degree and/or project management certification is preferred.
- PMP certification.
- PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification demonstrating competence in agile.
