Description:
The Workday Developer, Compensation is responsible for configuration activities in support of the Advanced and Core Compensation areas within Workday. As, the subject matter expert, you will partner with members of the Compensation COE and HROPs teams to help troubleshoot system issues and provides guidance to users as required. You will be responsible for developing solutions to automate processes and drive system efficiencies.

They will need to have deep expertise in all compensation areas and their related business processes, Workday data structures including organizations and hierarchies, security to support business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, basic and advanced reporting, and a good working knowledge of the core Human Capital Management (HCM) area. They will also be responsible for EIBs to support all compensation-related processes. This role requires deep functional process knowledge to understand business requirements and translate them into working Workday configuration.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide expertise in Workday configuration and ensure the successful implementation of new functionality and/or processes.
• Manage the deliverables, and scope of work, partner with internal/external teams ensure end to end coverage, good end-user solutions, and ensure overall quality.
• Should be able to Architect, design and configure advance compensation.
• Partner with COEs to conduct design sessions with the business team(s) to understand business requirements.
• Partner with the internal testing team to ensure the development of high-quality test cases and the delivery of quality solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams in the analysis, identification of new and relevant features development, testing and implementation of enhancements/releases (new integrations, Workday updates, etc.).
• Partner with our Business Technology (BT) and Change and Communication partners.

Required Experience
• Advance compensation Certification (Preferred)
• Prior experience in Launching Annual compensation cycles in Workday (minimum of 3 cycles)
• Ability to create complex calculated fields
• Experience working in global/matrix organizations highly desired
• 7 + years of experience in Workday configuration

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.
• Serve as a technical expert on development projects.
• Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
• Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
• Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.
• Conducts complex work important to the organization.
• Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
