Data Analyst

• Proven experience in developing and working with complex datasets and analytics.

• Expertise with financial statements and general ledger/sub-ledger data

• Experience with designing and developing complex reports with BI tools such as Tableau

• Ability to translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.

• High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).

• Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.

• A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization

• Knowledge of application development following Agile methodology

• Demonstrated ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to drive varied initiatives

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities include:

• Perform complex data analysis and data reconciliations involving financial, forecasting, and modeling data

• Analyze, document, build and enhance financial reports using Python code, advanced Excel, and custom or BI reporting tools

• Create engaging and detailed materials including user guides, specification documents, release notes, and testing results documents

• Create test cases and perform detailed testing of reporting processes and UI features

• Prepare detailed input files and runbooks working with various data owners

• Validate and reconcile complex reports and data from output files, APIs, or databases

• Track and resolve issues related to data transformation processes, reports, and testing
