Senior Software Engineer
We expect:
• Development of primarily REST APIs in Python with Flask & Django (this is a coding role!)
• Ability to work autonomously, to make smart decisions to fill in small spec/design gaps but also know
when you need to seek input from product management and/or other engineers
• Expertise, experience, and industry knowledge to help evolve Source7 SDLC processes, ensure high
quality code bases, and deliver performant, resilient, and scalable solutions
• Mature development practices (e.g. automated testing, pipeline deployment)
• Support of PostgreSQL relational databases
• And essentially, an “I want to help!” attitude – we are small and no one has a single job. Be prepared
to look around and help.
You need:
• 6+ years of proven Software Development work experience
• 3+ years experience in Python
• Expertise in Django and/or Flask frameworks
• Experience with:
o ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
o Git / Branching strategies for code management
o Developing and supporting public REST APIs o Designing and working with relational databases o
JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Passion for continuous improvement
• To be well organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) These things would help, too:
• Container experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Major Public Cloud platform experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform
• Experience in computer vision, image processing, OCR, NLP or related technologies
