JOB DETAIL

The primary responsibility of the architect is to work within the A&F (Abercrombie & Fitch) Technology and business community to ensure systems are architected utilizing industry best practices and within the guidelines set forth by A&F.

Drive solutions design across multiple projects in the Marketing technology domain. Facilitate design sessions with application (platform-specific) architects and tech leaders to design solutions which meet enterprise standards.

Additionally, the architect will be responsible for understanding emerging IT architectures for microservices, and DevOps pipelines to making recommendations for incorporating appropriate emerging architectures into future A&F roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

•             Create Solutions Designs in the Marketing technology space to support the implementation of brand agnostic identity resolution, journey orchestration and multi-channel personalization activation. Help with integrating

              Marketing technology with eCommerce, Content Management System, Digital Testing tool, Store, Mobile applications, and other customer touchpoints.

•             Provide Technical Architecture guidance to business and technical teams by understanding the problem statement. Guidance should be forward thinking and future proof.  

•             Solution design: Includes defining impacted systems, data strategy, defining strategy for technical work, deployment strategy, environment strategy, monitoring, logging, containerization strategy, DR (Disaster Recovery)

             impacts, migration path and future upgrades.

•             Work with Project manager and tech leads to help drive technical spikes to completion and a path forward

•             Team up Infrastructure and security team to help with design of cloud-ready applications in the future state

•             Ability to escalate vendor issues to Adobe/Oracle/HCL, and work through technical spikes/support tickets to drive a path forward

•             Develop, train, and mentor other application architects both through project work and/or POC (Proof of Concept) work for solutions design. This includes regular technical updates to the team, informal and formal

             training sessions, and 1-1 coaching

•             Serve as an advanced technical leader and as such, a role model both technically and behaviorally.

•             Document architectural standards and design patterns for reference in decision-making, development and build practices. Ensure leverage and use of the architectural practices, devOps and other standards are built into

              future and existing projects

 

Qualifications:

•             Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 15+ years of experience in various roles of technical leadership within a large-scale organization

•             Must have: Knowledge of current technologies in Marketing Technology and maintains an awareness of changes in technology and/or industry best practices

•             Experience driving RFP and vendor relationships.

•             Experience implementing Identity Resolution, Real-Time Customer Data Platform (CDP), Journey Orchestration and Personalization through CDP.

•             Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe AEM, Adobe Target, Oracle Responsys, Adobe Analytics or related software.

•             Experience integrating with Ecommerce, CRM, store systems and loyalty systems

•             Experience implementing significant application upgrades are required.

•             Experience with Cloud technologies is helpful

•             Experience building Kafka Event Streams and Integrations, microservices, and SwaggerHub helpful

•             Experience creating blueprints, and solutions design documents for enterprise level projects.
