JOB DETAIL

The Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs is a New York State agency which was created in June, 2013 by the “Protection of People with Special Needs Act”.  The Justice Center provides oversight for facilities across the state responsible for the care of individuals with special needs. The Vulnerable Persons Central Registry (VPCR) is a case management system which was developed for the Justice Center using Siebel CRM technology to track intake of incidents and allegations of abuse and neglect as well as the investigations, prosecution, adjudication, and oversight and monitoring resulting from these incidents. In late 2020, the Justice Center created a work intake model to manage and prioritize improvements to agency processes and the VPCR.

Duties 

  • Leading agency projects and initiatives approved through the work intake model
  • Creating project schedules
  • Maintaining the agency’s project portfolio
  • Supporting stakeholder communications
  • Developing project charters and business cases
  • Using project change control techniques
  • Maintaining a project risk inventory
  • Conducting other general project management tasks as needed

Mandatory Requirements 

  • Experience (4+ Years)
  • Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.

Requirements 

  • This is an 100% Onsite
  • 36 months project management experience, including planning and organizing projects and performing analysis and evaluation of planned and ongoing projects and initiatives
  • 36 months experience facilitating project teams and managing schedule, scope and execution
  • 36 months experience gathering and collecting pertinent qualitative and quantitative data via interviews, reports, and observations, identifying potentially problematic issues, trends, liabilities, and opportunities for organizational improvement.
  • 36 months experience with analyzing and interpretating data to make recommendations for improved efficiency and effectiveness of processes and systems
  • 36 months experience writing reports and presenting information to leadership and other stakeholders
  • 36 months experience assessing risk, creating risk matrices, and risk mitigation
  • PMP Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree
