• Advise on, design, and implement solutions that prepares data for additional analytical or operational uses, e.g. data provision to data scientists
• Gather needs and requirements from end users to facilitate development of solutions to satisfy data needs for data analysis and integrations.
• Build data pipelines to pull together information from different source systems; integrating, consolidating and cleansing data; and structuring it for use in individual analytics applications and other operational uses
• Design, develop, and implement architecture and processes to populate and store data for use by data analysts and integrations with other operations.
• Work closely with other data analysts to coordinate the use of end-user tools to facilitate the analysis and reporting process.
• Be a consultant for projects, products and initiatives when it comes to data topics.
• Work together with IT enterprise architects in order to help to implement the data model and any other data aspects into the system landscape of AGCS.
• Understand and promote meta-data management and data modelling.
• Support products, projects and initiatives in harmonizing data, documentation of business data terms and definitions and technical lineage.
• Provide and maintain the respective documents/ frameworks including a Business Data Model and the data requirements capturing process instructions.
• Define and implement systematic Data Governance processes using the Allianz Group Data management tool and exchange with the wider AGCS and Allianz Data Community.

Technical Competencies:
• Insurance knowledge in general is required. Specialization in functions like Accounting/Actuarial, Claims, Operations, Underwriting specifically from a data perspective a plus.
• Understanding of information systems and data life-cycle management best practices and methodologies.
• Good understanding of Agile development methodologies like SAFe
• Experience with enterprise wide data management technologies
• Experience with Erwin Data Modeller, Power Designer or comparable data modelling tools
• Knows how to document data flows and enable the connection between data governance functions like a business glossary and metadata tools in an automated way.
• High competency in SQL and Data modelling Standards for 3NF and Data Vault
• Good understanding of extract, transform and load (ETL) tools and REST-oriented APIs for creating and managing data integration jobs
• Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data sets
• Exposure to data ingestion and processing frameworks
• Preferred knowledge in industry standard frameworks such as DAMA, DMBOK • MS Office skills (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Access, VBA). • Advanced Data Analysis skills (Data Profiling, PL/SQL for Oracle, ETL Tools, Reporting tools like SAS) a strong advantage • Metadata & data governance suits (e.g. Informatica, IBM, DAG, Collibra and Metadata Bridges) • Data Integration (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Ab Initio and IBM) • Data visualisation (e.g. Composite/Tibco and Denodo) • Visualization & BI (e.g. Microsoft, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik, OBIEE, Hyperion)
