- Engages in discovery efforts with business partners to understand and refine business requirements
- Leads and documents functional and non-functional requirements including system design requirements for medium to complex systems
- Formulates and defines systems scope, objectives, identify system gaps and comes up with an understanding of applicable business solutions and business requirements
- Work along with Architects and help evaluate system requests to define the scope, sizing and requirements to implement
- Works as a liaison among IT and business SME’s in order to elicit, organize, evaluate and validate requirements for changes to systems
- Document detailed system requirements for new and existing systems and also maintain technical cookbooks
- Holds requirements gathering sessions, capturing meeting minutes, following up on action items and ownership of project documentation
- Collaborates with project team members and Architects to develop and model specifications, develop business process flow diagrams for systems and define integration points
- Engages with Developers and Testers to answer questions and validate the functionality as it is developed
- Review test plan and test scripts acting as the business partner
- Participate in UAT testing as needed
Key Requirements/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology is required; or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of related work experience as a systems analyst, programmer, etc.
- Prior experience working with a large delivery team
- Prior insurance domain experience preferred; must have waterfall project delivery experience with projects of 3-6 months in duration working with offshore teams. S/he should have experience creating/managing a project schedule, driving a matrixed team of resources (onshore/offshore) to buy in to the schedule, meet pre-defined software quality expectations
