JOB DETAIL

The major duties, tasks, and responsibilities that constitute the cloud solution architect job description are shown below:

  • Leverage on Cloud environment and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own Solution Architecture (applications and data technologies)
  • Work with clients to design a full-stack solution using software that fully integrates with customer’s existing cloud infrastructure from data flow, security, DevOps, and other standpoints
  • Propose suggestions and best practices to optimize customers’ cloud presence, performance, security, and cost
  • Responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation strategies
  • Carry out debugging, troubleshooting, modifications, and unit testing of custom solutions built on the organization/clients platform
  • Develop new specs, documentation; and partake in the development of technical procedures and user support guides
  • Responsible for the creation of a well-informed cloud strategy and administer the adaption process
  • Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software at regular intervals
  • Develop and organize cloud systems and work closely with IT security to monitor the company’s cloud privacy
  • Provide prompt response to technical issues in a professional manner
  • Direct infrastructure movement procedure, including bulk application transfers into the cloud environment
  • Responsible for spotting the cloud architecture solutions to effectively meet the strategic needs of the company.
  • Demonstrates expertise in specific Cloud solutions and services
  • Provides the most effective method of service delivery by analyzing trends and common themes across customers.
  • Create deliverables to address common customer needs & support mobile-first, cloud-first strategy, share intellectual property with others.
  • Engages in strategic service delivery planning, in partnership with the virtual account team, to strengthen targeted customer relationships.
  • Provides and drives actionable feedback across groups about the customer/partner experience and competitor threats.
  • Seeks opportunities to drive Customer Success business results by collaborating with multiple team members.
  • Consistently apply "lessons learned", model personal accountability & teamwork.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of his or her role and contribution to customer/partner change management and adoption initiatives
  • Understands customer/partner requirements and can map the adoption and optimization of Microsoft technology solutions accordingly.
  • You will be working on large and complex initiatives with multiple cross-functional teams, so strong collaboration and communication are an essential part of the role. You are comfortable not being the smartest person in the room and are able to deliver results and collaborate on designs with technical leaders across multiple areas of expertise.
  • Create technical designs and deliver high impact projects, working hands on and collaborating with multiple teams in the Software Platform Group
  • Collaborate with software engineers, PM, QA and UX to design within and outside the Platform organization and deliver innovative new capabilities that power consumer, professional and third party experiences.
  • Collaborate with peer architects and technical leaders, finding opportunities to refactor code, improve product capabilities or perform capability rationalization.
  • Ensure technology decisions and architecture standards are keeping up with the state of the art in the industry.
  • Contribute to the development of our engineering competencies by monitoring industry and technology trends and directions.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market.
  • Advise leadership on the engineering org’s health and investments in engineering expertise in key technology areas, as well as areas where we may have gaps.
