JOB DETAIL

 Providing Batch & Console support for 24x 7 which involves monitoring the batch cycle, escalating/fixing the failures as per documentation/instructions. 
First & Second level break-fix support for Mainframe-Infrastructure and its components. 
Diagnose, troubleshoot and report/resolve interruptions or problems in system processing and or hardware anomalies. 
Make all necessary changes/request on Hardware Management Console (HMC). 
Perform operational functions on a such as IPL’s, recycling CICS regions, cancelling production batch jobs, starting/stopping started system tasks.  
Ensuring the Timeliness of the batch cycles and availability of online regions 
Resolving Adhoc / Single run / On demand requests made by the onsite 
Monitoring the special critical processing during the Weekend, Month end, Quarter end and Year-end batch Cycles.  
Escalate deviations in batch schedule 
Restart, cancel, force complete jobs as per application requests.
Work closely with onsite and offshore application teams
Modifies production schedules according to user requests
Perform minor JCL changes as per instructions from application teams
Initiate SRT process within 15 minutes of an impacting event.
Resolve system failures like SB37,SE37,S322 etc
Draft daily status report to client personnel.
Co-ordinate with system engineering groups (Tape management, storage, Z/OS etc) during upgrades.
Perform pre- and post IPL activities
Disaster recovery support
