Senior Role - must be 7 to 10+ years experience
• Jira and confluence experience is required
• Distributed system expertise
• Retail or eCommerce background is a plus; not required
• Agile SAFE is a plus
• Role will serve as the operations representative who will work with the team and other teams for non- functionals and transitional activities
• Complex environment
• Needs a good technology background to be able to navigate; but not hands on
• Program involves the opening of an additional fulfillment center for store eCommerce; new building, hiring new ppl and new systems
• Moving to a multiple fulfilment center model; eCommerce, customer orders; some new capabilities and some existing ecosystems and making sure it works with new building
• Role will work with other teams who have the technical skills for hands on work
• There are 25 different technical teams
• 6 months but could extend
Role Objective:
Lead Resource in defining Operational tasks and activities required to support the MMX Building 2 program and:
1.Ensure the solution is operationally ready ? Operational Readiness Activities
2.Identify transition requirements from program activities to BAU operations
3.Ensure the DigIT Operations Teams are prepared and ready to support the solution
Role Description:
Coordinate Operations Staffing and Resource Planning to support Program
Run the Operation scrum team using Agile methodology, stories and scrum practices
Participate in Program Rolling Sprint Planning Reviews every 2 weeks
Coordinate logistics for Operational HyperCare support and monitoring
Coordinate Production Deployments and execution of the changes to Production
Coordinate Solution NFR requirements for Performance, Security, Reliability, Operability, Availability and Usability are defined, met and ready for production operations including:
1.Alerts and monitoring including changes to Operational dashboards, as needed
2.Security controls and scans etc
3.Systems reliability
4.Capacity validation
5.Performance Risk Assessment
6.Load testing, as needed
7.Pen testing, as needed
8.Environment documentation updates
9.Managing Operational readiness activities and ongoing staffing including participation in Program Transition activities
Environment support including
1.Lead to drive issue resolution in Test Environments being used by the Program
2.Drive data refresh efforts as needed by Program Testing Team
3.Lead addition of new environments and/or components to existing Test Environments as needed by the Program (examples include new firewall rules for new WMS instances, reinstalls of software i.e., EOM etc)
4.Manage Cadence and execution of code updates to the Test Environments to ensure the Program is testing with current Production versions of code
5.Facilitate Access for new and changing team members
Lead the Operations scrum team in self-organization
Remove impediments (blockers) and drive the Operations scrum team on removing impediments related to program activities
Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
Escalate issues to Program Team and Digital IT Operations Management
Effectively partner and influence in order to support the Program, working across many diverse teams
Report on status to ensure that operations tasks are completed on time
Provide daily visibility to blockers impeding the Program including status, time open, and actions to address
Assigns priorities for and coordinates resolution of issues
Supervises multiple, concurrent tasks and properly assesses priorities of assigned activities.
Responsible for timely and effective project communications including Program and Digital Ops leadership
Complies with Sarbanes Oxley and PCI.
Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
Plans and schedules program operations deliverables, goals, and milestones
Directs and oversees and coordinates work across various teams and team members
Performs other Program duties as assigned
Makes decisions on escalated issues within scope of responsibility
Operates in a matrixed environment. Assigns and monitors tasks for project resources.
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business Administration, engineering, or Information Technology
Evidence of continuous learning (e.g. relevant certifications )
7-10+ years of related work experience
Prior experience managing a scrum team within large programs desired
Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps
Experience with successful Agile and Technical Project Management techniques desired
Ability to work with and lead a team
Strong organizational, documentation and project management skills
Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
Ability to adapt to a changing environment
Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
