BCTG’s directclient is looking to hire a Full Time Dev Ops Engineer. Under minimal supervisionworking with the Network Operations and the Applications team, the Dev OpsEngineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of thecorporate’s public cloud infrastructure.
Essential Functions and Duties
? Implementautomated deployment and maintenance of the highly available, scalable, andresilient production grade cloud application and infrastructure systems withdisaster recovery capabilities in the cloud for the business-criticalapplications.
? Implementinfrastructure as code platform, work with immutable “cloud native” basedenvironments, and use the supporting automated toolsets to test and deploysystems developed
? Implement andmaintain containerized platform at scale (Kubernetes)
? Implement thecloud monitoring and management platform to measure and optimize the workloadsand cloud costs
? Implement andsupport the automated application deployment solutions and processes to deploythe business critical and complex business systems in the cloud
? Follow the cloudbest practices and implement the reference architecture for the cloud landingzone
? Evaluate thecurrent environment and develop a road map and strategies for the adoption ofthe public cloud.
? Identify whichworkloads/applications are best suited to move to the cloud and determine thepriority to migrate these applications.
? Determine theoptimum cloud storage options for each server or application.
? Perform themigration of data and applications/servers to the cloud.
? Optimize thecloud environment. Monitor and right-size VMs.
? Understand bestpractices for monitoring and managing costs in the cloud.
? Implementsecurity best practices for cloud environments.
? Backup, Archive,Recovery planning, and execution of the cloud-based data and applications.
? Adheresspecifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and Stateregulations, and laws.
? Displaydedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals andobjectives.
? Always representthe Company in a professional manner and appearance.

Required Education:
? Bachelor’s Degreein Information Technology or a related field of study; or a combination of educationand related professional experience
Required Knowledge:
? Solidunderstanding of cloud computing
? Automateddeployment and management of the cloud services – app services, functions,compute engine/VM instances, service bus, Kubernetes as service, managedcontainer as service, database, storage, networking, IAM, security/compliance
? Agile/Scrumlifecycle management/development
? Infrastructure-as-codeusing Terraform
? Containers,Kubernetes (GKE, Cloud Run, etc.)
? Cloud security –Logging, monitoring, cloud native and 3rd party, SIEM, WAF, vulnerabilitiesscanning, container security, etc.
? Queryingmonitoring/audit logs
? Applying securitypolicies
? Scriptinglanguage experience: Python, PowerShell, Shell
Required Experience:
? Minimum of 5years of Public Cloud hands-on experience
? Experience inmulti-cloud environments
? Experiencemanaging day-to-day technical and design direction
? 3 years ofDevOps tools - Jenkins, GCP Deployment Manager, GitHub Actions
? 2 years ofexperience in cloud (GCP) engineering and/or development
? 3 years ofexperience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
? Experience withAgile/Scrum lifecycle management/development
? Experiencedeveloping infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
? Containers,Kubernetes (GKE, Cloud Run, etc.)
? Cloud security –Logging, monitoring, cloud native and 3rd party, SIEM, WAF, vulnerabilitiesscanning, container security, etc.
? Expertise inquerying monitoring/audit logs
? Experience inapplying security policies
? Strong scriptinglanguage experience: Python, PowerShell, Shell
Strong understanding of different programlanguages and their build strategies
Preferred Experience:
? Hands-onexperience with GCP (Compute, Storage, Network, and OS)
? MigratingComputer Systems to Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
? Experience withGoogle Cloud Operations (Formerly Google Stackdriver).
? Google Identityand Access Management
? Cloud Identity(IAM/EMM)
? Google VirtualPrivate Cloud (VPC).
? Google SecurityCommand Center Premium (SCC)
? Certification inGCP cloud / DevOps is desirable
