• Sr. DevOps Engineer is responsible to build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions.
• Much of DevOps-Engineer s support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation.
• DevOps position is a problem solver with a diverse set of perspectives where one needs to think big and take calculated risks.
• In this environment, As an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer), DevOps position is focused on running better production applications and platforms that host & support Ecommerce, Order Management, Merchant and Payment processing, Customer Care Operations, Health and Wellness etc.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Design and deploy dynamically scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant cloud and on-premise infrastructure platform with an infrastructure as code engineering approach.
• Implement solutions that leverage Cloud technologies and service such as GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, VMware, EC2, S3, Lambda, Route53, ELB, Code-Deploy, Autoscaling-Group, ECS (Fargate), RDS, VPC, CloudFront, Cloud Formation, API Gateway, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, SQS, SNS etc.
• Install, maintain and upgrade application, web servers like Tomcat, Weblogic, Apache. NGINX etc. on Linux operating systems.
• Create, implement and maintain automated processes through CI/CD pipelines allowing engineering teams to easily and consistently deploy software.
• Work collaboratively with agile engineering teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery.
• Implement Security recommended standards, CIS hardening scripts to create secure RedHat, Amazon Linux machine images (AMI) with latest OS patches.
• Implement and upgrade cloud and on-premise infrastructure to meet PCI Data Security Standards Level 1 (Maintain secure network, Guard customer data, Limit data access with principle of least access, Monitor & test data security systems)
• Deliver on SOX audit requirements which include:
• Identification of temporary and permanent changes in your control environment that have changed business operating conditions.
• Confirm the existence and effectiveness of compensating controls to address obvious internal control shortfalls.
• Monitor and evaluate all control activities early and often to ensure consistent and effective operation.
• Develop real-time monitoring and alerting of production infrastructure/applications deployed in AWS using Ansible playbooks, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail and Simple Notification Service.
• Implement cost optimization standards in AWS by Rightsizing EC2 instances, scheduling on/off times, Reserving Instances and moving data to different S3 classes etc.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.
• Architect and implement migration of on-premise infrastructure to Cloud.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide 24/7 support.

Experience

• 5+ years in a 24/7 enterprise level Cloud computing environment.
• 7-12+ years in software engineering or technical operation.
