•             Not a developer – more a sys admin person for this role –

o             Not going to being coding – familiarity is beneficial

o             Understanding of coding background (preferably Java)

•             Required Linux – sys admin background

•             Jboss - they are moving into (to replace websphere)

•             Required – Jboss

•             Websphere (nice to have)

•             Required – Core Java concepts understanding

•             MVC

•             Create automation process for development environment – preference for them

•             Wanting to move towards TWS – (beneficial not required)

 

Job Responsibilities:

•             End-to-end ownership of the Build Management Life Cycle process.

•             Managing code integrations, code merges, and deployment requests.

•             Creating documentation to deploy and maintain each version of a new release.

•             Communicating integration and deployment activities.

•             Working closely with Development staff to provide Dev Test environment server support.

•             Creating Deployment Requests for all Lower environments and production releases as well as collaborating with Test leads, Developers and Deploy team to coordinate daily deploys.

•             Recommending process improvements and adapting to change. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

•             Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

•             5+ years of experience in: software development organizations, databases, programming, testing, software deployment

•             Linux system administration and/or middleware administration experience with Application Servers such as JBoss and Websphere. Experience with version control systems, such as GITHUB, SVN, Perforce, BitBucket, IBM Rational Team Concert (IBM RTC / ELM)

•             Experience administering and using Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS)

•             Working knowledge of J2EE Application Development and related tools and technologies such as Eclipse, Application Servers (Websphere, JBoss) and Linux

•             Solid understanding of Core Java Concepts such as Object Oriented Programming, Java Collections API, Exception Handling, Multi-Threading is required, Spring Solid understanding of Object Oriented Analysis, J2EE Concepts, Architecture, and Technologies

•             Experience with web development with client-side MVC frameworks such as HTML, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js

•             Solid experience working with Linux

•             Detail oriented and process driven

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•             Experience working in a continuous integration/deployment development environment

•             Experience with defining and implementing Dev Ops Process Automation

•             Experience using IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM)
