FMC is looking for a motivated R&D Data Engineer to execute the vision for data and analytics strategy supporting a wide spectrum of data needs.
We are an R&D-based business, dependent upon the introduction of new products to deliver a competitive advantage in the agrochemical industry.
The position has a flexible work schedule and located at Stine Research Center in Newark, DE.

agriculture.
Responsibilities
- Drive and execute the vision for data and analytics strategy supporting a wide spectrum of data needs ranging from large scale data management,
- cloud infrastructure, modern data architecture, data science use cases through rapid prototyping
- Engineer and deliver high quality data pipelines for data warehousing and big data solutions factoring in data quality, performance management,
- security, and scalability
- Lead and participate in architecture discussions, recommend design choices, and execute projects balancing strategic and tactical goals
- Collaborate and foster cross-functional relationships with data scientists, application developers and business stakeholders to understand data needs
- and build reliable solutions
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
- Expertise in SQL, database design, data modeling and data warehousing
- Working knowledge of DevOps model and automated workflows
- Hands-on development experience building data and analytics solutions, traditional and unstructured data
- Understanding modern data warehouses, ETL/ELT data pipelines to process structured/semi-structured/unstructured data
- Experience with at least one major cloud ecosystem
- Familiarity with one or more visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to share quantitative and qualitative analysis in a clear, concise, and actionable manner
- Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced technical environment
