Skills|Must-Haves:
* 7+ years of US based experience
* F5 load balancer configuration experience
* good networking experience (Switches, Routers, quoting with vendors, etc.)
* NGINX load balancer software configuration
* lives in CST
Nice to Have Skills:
* lives local to Chicago
* if not living in Chicago, lives near Grand Rapids, MI
* AWS and/or Azure experience
* relevant certifications
* Bachelors degree
Contract Project Responsibilities:
Migrate production network endpoints from F5 hardware LB to NGINX software LB
Develop monitoring and alerting for NGINX network traffic
Own security for network endpoints.
Document NGINX maintenance processes and procedures.
Full-Time Role Responsibilities
Own AMI’s network infrastructure for both product and corporate IT needs.
Manage network hardware acquisition and vendor service agreements.
Manage Domain and Certificate renewals and own responsibility for network security.
Be the domain expert for AWS networking configuration and functionality.
Embrace CI/CD best practices and contribute to defining and developing solutions for supporting streamlined software development.
Write technical specifications and documents
Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in software delivery and security.
Experience Required:
The successful candidate must have a strong technical background with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Administration. A demonstrated ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively is required.
The following specific skills are required for this position:
NGINX+ / NGINX Community Software LB Management
F5 or similar hardware LB management
Cisco hardware management, Aruba experience a plus
AWS networking experience a plus
Linux admin experience
Familiarity with Azure (IT) a plus
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
