Business Analyst to turn business requirements into data requirements. Skills include ability to interview business stakeholders and engineers to elicit data and functional requirements for multiple dashboards, data views, and reports. This needs to go down to the level of specificity of data sources and tables in Snowflake and include proper documentation in our project templates that can be used by a pipeline engineer to gather and stage this data.

Data pipeline engineer to gather and model this data in Snowflake in a method conducive to use on dashboards and visualizations. Expect they will largely be working within Snowflake, DBT, and possibly 5Tran if we need to acquire data. We’ll almost certainly need some overlap of this person with the BA, and then with the Visualization specialists to revise and refine these models based on final dashboard and report needs.

THEN a data visualization analyst or specialist to help create dashboards off of these data views. Like Akhil, the focus is on PowerBI-based dashboards with some likely ad-hoc data pulls and reports in CSV or Excel if needed. Expectations around working with data from Snowflake, following design guidelines, prototyping and getting feedback on dashboard designs iteratively, and ultimately creating usable and intuitive data dashboards that meet business objectives in a performant way.
