JOB DETAIL

Scrum master is responsible for facilitating the agile framework and methodology for the team. The scrum master is known as guardian of the scrum team; responsible for resolving obstacles and demonstrating control over the scrum processes, including leading the daily scrum, driving user-story creation and orchestrating sprint plans that are executable in a rapid development environment. This role encompasses everything from coaching team members about agile to delivering successful deliverables. The Scrum Master will interact directly with various stakeholders such as partners, and lead the delivery of projects.

 

Job Description :

Own Agile delivery in assigned projects or areas of responsibility (including backlog burndown for existing automations as well as enhancements and new builds),

facilitating the team’s construction and delivery process,

monitoring the team’s workflow,

providing guidance to Scrum team members

removing impediments for the scrum team

planning and organizing demos and product/system testing

Lead agile teams in sprint planning, resource planning and general project management while being willing to “get your hands dirty” to get the job done

Develop a working knowledge of our businesses to help manage the intersection of business/customer needs and technology solutions, including helping the teams problem-solve and closely collaborate across business and IT

Serve as communication liaison between the team and stakeholders, including communicating progress externally and representing stakeholder interests in the agile team.

Develop people through training, coaching, and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices

Demonstrate strong communication skills and active involvement in technical matters to ensure product owner involvement in business decisions and the description of the functional flow

Collect and report progress metrics on a regular basis; must forecast numbers of deliverables possible in an iteration based on evidence and reliable source information

Monitor progress and performance to help teams improve

Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing

 

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.

Experienced in Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.), planning estimation and metrics, as well as Agile Tools for Project Management (JIRA, Confluence, etc)

Certified Scrum Master, SAFe preferred

Experience in leading or working in teams that are mixed in location, including globally across cultures and time zones preferred

Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.

Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail.
