JOB DETAIL


•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
•    Focus areas. A candidate needs to demonstrate expertise in one or many areas:
o    Infra and DevOps: Robust understanding of AWS and other Cloud platforms. Certification preferred. Experience with DevOps tooling and Observability architecture
o    Data: Understanding of AWS Glue, Python, RDS and other cloud-native data services. Experience in optimizing and scaling data services
o    Apps: Understanding of (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript. Experience with CI/CD pipelines is highly desired
•    A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
•    Develop SOPs and update them as required
•    Minor defect fixes, configuration changes, identifying manual tasks and creating an automation backlog
•    Scripting using CloudFormation and/or Terraforms
•    Assess incident severity and appropriately kicking off resolution workflows
•    Service Management experience is highly desirable 
Process Skills: 
•    5 to 10 Years of demonstrated experience
•    Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
•    Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
•    Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
•    Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
•    Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications
•    Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in problem and fault finding
•    Partner with teams to resolve services issues through rigorous testing and release procedures
•    Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
•    Reliability with well-defined service level objectives 
Behavioral Skills:
•    Resolve & simplify business issues of projects and Explore alternate solutions
•    Participates as a team member and fosters teamwork by inter-group coordination within the project.
•    Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction
Certification:
•    Previous success in technical engineering
•    Coding experience beyond simple scripts
