The New York GM Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology Development team operates as part of a Global GM Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology team to develop systems used for the Global GM Trading activity. It is a Front Office facing team which works directly with Traders and Business Management to provide high quality solutions both locally and as part of the platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new functionality and enhancements locally and globally on existing architecture
- Work with traders, developers, business analysts, and vendors to develop a clean and effective platform
- Collaborate with a team of global developers to set specifications for new processes
- Provide second-line support of applications for front-office users.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Math, Science or Engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years software development experience using Java
- Experience in a front office trading environment
- Ability to implement simple and scalable solutions to trading requirements
- Ability to see “big picture” to consider system dependencies, corner cases and change impacts in providing robust solutions
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a global team
Advantageous
- Experience developing for G10 rates business and products such as interest rate swaps, TBA/MBS, US Treasuries, TIPS etc
- Knowledge of TIBCO Rendezvous
- Proven core Ion Marketview skills and knowledge
- Knowledge and experience using the ION Multi-Market Spreader (MMS) tool
