JOB DETAIL

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop database objects, (i.e. Tables, Indexes, Keys, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers, and SSIS packages commensurate with level of experience)

  • Modify databases according to requests and perform tests

  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs issues (data or DB code) and performance issues

  • Provide data management support to users, including query writing support and tuning expertise

  • Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices

  • Gather user requirements and implement new features

  • Write moderately complex SQL code

  • Adhere to coding standards, SDLC, change management, and deployment standards

  • Assist in development and testing efforts

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of data when necessary to develop solutions to reported incidents or enhancement requests

  • Provide off-hours/flex support as required.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • 8 Years of Software Engineering/Development Experience
  • 2+ years of working experience in data warehousing related technologies
  • Proficiency with data structures and databases
  • Competent in writing complex SQL queries (T-SQL)
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply database normalization (normal forms) methods
  • Knowledge of SQL Server best practices which may include storage, indexing and security
  • Knowledge of SSIS packages and the SSRS reporting tool
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities or tasks
  • Self-starter and quick learner
  • Detail-oriented
    Ability to collaborate and work autonomously
  • Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization
  • Good written and oral English communication
