DevOps Engineer job responsibilities
- Work hand in hand w/ product engineering on deploying and supporting new features and services.
- Troubleshoot network and platform issues.
- Scale infrastructure to meet demand.
- Develop custom tools as necessary, or even work on improving existing tooling.
- Document systems design and procedures, knowledge silos stink.
To power through this role, you will need self-discipline, a flexible mind, and extreme self-motivation and
- Product release management experience of 5 to 6 years.
- Experience designing highly-available infrastructure.
- Continuous integration experience - Jenkins, ect.
- Experience implementing automated testing.
- Experience in AWS web services.
- Code. We are looking for scripting awesomeness. You should write shell scripts in your sleep and also be comfortable in at least one of the following languages: Python, bash, nodejs.
- Monitoring. We run a product which other businesses depend on, and as such monitoring a big deal to us.
