The NDC (New Distribution Capability) team is responsible for modernizing United’s distribution capabilities through the development and adoption of the industry’s new standard offer and order services, NDC. The team coordinates NDC capabilities through a third party integrator which connections to internal United services. The NDC team works with this external partner to coordinate all requirements and releases in coordination with internal services teams. The team works closely with the Distribution and Digital Sales teams to successfully onboard new NDC subscribers and resolve any issues with their integration.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Technical Project Manager to drive delivery of key distribution-related initiatives. Currently, this primarily includes the continuous enhancements of United’s NDC (New Distribution Capability) distribution channel in coordination with a third party integration provider. The role involves the coordination of integration activities inside and outside of United, maintaining a detailed backlog of requirements, coordinating release schedules with the vendor, working with internal United services teams to make necessary system changes, and communicating changes and status to stakeholder teams and leadership. 

In This Role, You Will: 
• Work with the United Distribution business team to identify and prioritize ongoing NDC enhancements 
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align on requirements and delivery timelines. 
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
• Collaborate with project team members to identify and resolve issues 
• Establish effective project communication 
• Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information 
• Facilitate organizational change, manage the dependencies, and address any project- or organizational-level issues and risks that affect the project delivery 
• Drive project management best practices 

Qualifications - External 
• 5+ years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to drive work with Agile teams. Experience managing large, complex, mission-critical software projects 
• Ability to bring together geographically dispersed, collaborative project teams of various sizes 
• Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships 
• Excellent and effective communication skills – both written and verbal. Experience preparing and presenting decks to executive-level stakeholders 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft tools, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word. 
• Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS and / or Jira 
• Airline industry knowledge, especially in the area of airline distribution, is a plus 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship 

Education 
• BS/BA, preferably in a technical field or equivalent experience, education, or training
