- Create test plans/packs and execution within Testrail
- Liaising with project product owners to clarify player behavior
- Provide knowledge and share throughout the team
- Management of test results and reports
- Regular liaisons with project teams to understand test requirements.
- Drive Improvement throughout the team
- Represent the QA team in project/progress/status meetings
- Implement tests to analyze the health of backend video services
- Monitor and implement performance tests for potential bottlenecks
- Mentoring of junior testers
Qualifications/Requirements
- 6+ years of experience
- Industry experience and a successful track record in video players testing web, mobile and Cross TV applications
- Awareness of streaming technology, AV codecs, DRMs
- Familiarity with streaming protocols (HLS/DASH)
- Excellent programming skills in Javascript/Nodejs or equivalent
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test practice and terminology
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills and a focused, determined, pro-active attitude
- Experience using Test management tools: ideally TestRail and fault logging tools; ideally GitHub or JIRA
- Strong knowledge of Charles/Fiddler or other debugging proxy tools
- Excellent trouble shooting skills with the ability to analyze logs
- Experience with performance/load testing frameworks
- Creative individual who can organize test suites to ensure maximum coverage
