KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

An incumbent should be able to -

  • Storyboard and develop courses and curriculum.
  • Edit and develop online learning materials.
  • Create learning experiences and environments.
  • Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • Create computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
  • Develop instructors manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
  • Collaborate with subject experts to develop course content.
  • Manage online learning communities.
  • Analyse, update, and refine existing online content.
  • Keep current on best practices in instructional design.
  • Write scripts for video and audio content.
  • Work with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.

 

SKILL REQUIREMNTS

 

  1. Demonstrate excellent communication and project management skills
  2. Graduate in any stream with a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing different training product types, such as application simulations, ILTs/VILTs, WBTs, job aids, and QRCs (Quick Reference Cards) using instructional designing and with instructional technology.
  3. Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  4. Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
  5. Knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
  6. Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Excel)
  7. Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.
  8. Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.

  • Knowledge of courseware development tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in a highly effective manner
  • Understand how to effectively navigate and resolve escalations and related issues at all levels
  • Ability to gather learning needs and project specifications
  • A flexible work style and ability to work beyond the normal schedule during peak periods
  • Ability to work effectively, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and within a team environment to significantly contribute to the success of the team
