What You Will Do:

•             Serves as the “servant leader” of the Scrum team by removing impediments and helping the team remain successful and on schedule.

•             Must have a sufficient understanding of technology to enable them to lead team members and help them overcome their development roadblocks; they must also understand business strategy and objectives, and be able to ensure

                that development work is prioritized by business value and results align with objectives.

•             The incumbent provides counsel and advice to top management on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.

•             Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.

•             Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex assignments.

•             Coach team members

•             Become a leader of peers

•             Mentor lower level scrum masters – Mentors other scrum masters and the people on teams who wear the scrum master hat

•             Advocate agile across the organization

•             Contribute to agile growth of the organization

•             May participate in the hiring process of scrum masters

•             Begin tackling organizational impediments

•             Capable of coaching up

•             Participate in cross-departmental efforts

•             Leads initiatives within the community of practice

 

Skills and Experience You Will Need:

•             Background in Cyber Security projects strongly preferred

•             Cloud experience strongly preferred (AWS and/or Azure)

•             5+ years of SM/Agile team level experience

•             Mentors other scrum masters

•             Continuous improvement in agile leadership

•             Mastery of agile principles

•             Comfortable opposing anti-patterns

•             Strong collaboration with leadership groups (CTPOs, Directors, Sr. Mangers, Architects)

•             Have a director + mentor

•             JIRA expert

•             Confluence expert

•             Able to teach Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD, XP

•             Can start and facilitate Scrum of Scrums
