- • Design and develop dashboards and reports that will be used by the GRC Team to analyze the results across business segments for Hearst
- Support the metrics and dashboard initiative; work with Hearst leads to develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to provide insight into the performance of key business process areas
- • Develop and maintain dashboards across a variety of cyber and technology teams
- • Access and extract data from a variety of identified sources; provide useful and accurate interpretations of data and information
- • Master and perform all steps required to create analysis-ready datasets, including data integration/merging of information from and into other source databases
- • Gather information and analyze information, identify trends to provide recommendations to stakeholders
- • Applies data visualization for discovery and timely insights to decrease Cycle Time to Action (CTA)
- • Uses knowledge of business and data structure to discover and/or anticipate problems where data can be used to solve problems
- • Maintain the current reporting platform through continuous review of dashboards and reports for relevance
- • Perform reporting tool reviews to provide product recommendations
- • Applies hindsight, insight, and foresight techniques to communicate complex findings and recommendations to influence others to take action
Information Security and Risk Management
- • Follow Hearst’s security best practices for the appropriate protection of data adhering to the Cybersecurity Guidelines and other identified requirements
- • Assist the development and implementation of the system-wide risk management function of the information security program to help ensure information security risks are reduced through data and information
- • Complete Hearst’s annual security awareness training to ensure awareness of the current trends and threats
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements
- • 4 + years of experience working in a reporting environment: querying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and building reports
- • Self-starter who can quickly identify and understand security issues and collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders for resolution
- • Maintain agility; able to work across multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change
- • Proven track record in preparing compelling communications for broad audiences
- • Able to maintain awareness of security trends and the current threat landscape
- • Excellent verbal and written communication analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills, with minimal supervision
- • Ability to work effectively with business partners, including cross-functional teams, virtual and global teams, and vendor partners positioned in businesses throughout the enterprise
- • Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findings
- • Experience measuring effectiveness of program supporting a global audience leveraging PowerBI and other platforms
- • Technical acumen with SharePoint, JIRA, Excel, ProofPoint, ServiceNow, and other business analysis tools preferable
- • Working knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework desired
