Everyone is an architect on different disciplines: data, etc.
Architects expected to work across entire organization
Not business facing
Not one specific project, this team supports multiple business lines in context of multiple efforts
Build proactive patterns and practices in data domains
 
Application architect is more focused on experience or application user is using, data architect is more focused on data that is driving those applications: data stores, data domains
This is not an enterprise architect role
Not much data governance here
 
Deliverables: how do we manage data? What should be patterns and blueprints? What technologies and how do we use them? Architecture diagrams, proof of concepts on occasion
 
Requirements:
Needs someone to have experience in data architecture domain, needs HANDS ON experience implementing solutions
Define the right patterns and points of views and practices
Working understanding of data domain: data analytics, data quality, data security, maybe data science
 
YOE:
Tough to equate to number of years, maybe somewhere around 8
2-4 years of understanding data architecture constructs
 
Technical skills:
SQL

Data stores/procedures
How to distribute data through data pipelines
AWS cloud: Glue from ETL perspective
Postgres
DynamoDB
Maybe RedShift
Snowflake
 
Nice to have:
