Basis my current role and basic United skill expectation, the following are the elements needed:
- Airline domain knowledge – 2-3 years’ experience working with exposure in back office operations in airlines including ticketing, reservations, PNR elements, flight operations, network operations, Sabre/Skylinx TTY Message handling
- Business Analyst Skillset – 5-7 years of BA experience in data integration, automation, data mapping, documentation, project management, and QA documentation. Process mapping and re-engineering and format validation skills.
- Product Management Skillset – 2-3 years’ experience in reading Functional requirement documentation, Data contract mapping, aligning with upstream and downstream business stakeholders, and translating requirements.
Knowledge and skills along the following is a bonus:
- Exposure to code to be able to parse and understand XML, XSL, JSON, YAML etc.
- Exposure to Apple coding environment to be able to understand the product architecture
