JOB DETAIL

Must perform complex (journey-level) computer programming data technical work for the Enterprise Data Office. Work involves building systems that collect, manage, and covert raw data into usable information for data scientists, data analysts, and business analysts to interpret. This requires the ability to access data stored in a variety of database management systems (such as DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle) which will satisfy customer business requirements. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Communicate with internal and external customers to analyze and identify all relevant details of highly complex administrative systems that involve interchange of large volumes of data (frequently stored in disparate or geographically dispersed databases).

Design complex tables, schemas, data marts, or related data designs that provide effective and efficient access for data found among disparate and geographically dispersed systems such that reporting of entry, retrieval, and manipulation of data may be accomplished simply from a single location with complete preservation of security of the data.

Create, maintain, and manage data asset catalogs and complete inventory of organizational data.

Develop appropriate documentation and ensure established standards and best practices are applied at all stages of the development.
