Experience in performing Mongo DBA operational routines
Setup and configuration of MongoDB cluster infrastructure in cloud environment (preferably in AWS)
MMS configuration experience
Configuring and monitoring replica sets
Optimising database/query performance
Configuring Sharding , monitoring, and identify the proper shard key
Selection, inserting large amounts of data
Performing Security measures, backups and restore backups
User Management creating users, assigning roles, managing permission
Migration experience will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains all databases required for dev, testing, prod- Mongo DB
Performs capacity planning required to create and maintain database.
Performs tuning of databases.
Plans and implements backup and recovery of the DB
Experience in cloud migration projects desired.
Implements and enforces security for all Databases
Performs database reorganisations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of database.
Provides technical support to application migration teams
Enforce and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of database
Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to database objects
Troubleshoots with problems regarding databases, applications and development tools.
Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations and Technical documentation skills
