Client  Lead Project Manager, Level 3 needs. The TDCJ is migrating the current legacy inmate management system to a new Correctional Information Technology System (CITS). The agency has contracted with Microsoft to provide their MDCS solution. This position will serve as the lead project manager for the duration of the project.

This position will perform highly advanced (Senior-level) project management work. Work involves assisting the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Information Technology with mainframe modernization and implementation of a new Corrections Information Technology System (CITS) platform.

Experience:

• Eight (8) years of project management experience to include at least 3 years’ experience as lead project manager for multi-million-dollar projects
• PMP certification required
• Agile experience required
• Microsoft’s Sure Step preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of project management theories and practices applicable to projects that are highly complex in scope; systems and procedures used to evaluate a third-party vendor’s performance
• Skill in project management monitoring, addressing changes in scope and budget

Ability to manage project activities; to establish project goals and objectives; to analyze complex information and develop plans to address identified issues; to identify project risks and gaps; manage multiple work streams; to communicate effectively; and to direct, assign, and evaluate the work of project staff.
