This person will be responsible for translating the REST API source data into GraphQL, so data can be consumed by the front-end client.
Technical skill required:
- 3-6 years of software development experience
- Node.js developer
- Backend mindset or understands and can articulate FE/BE boundaries
- GraphQL (Apollo Server)
- Typescript
- Understanding OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
- Strong debugging skills
- Experience integrating GraphQL between REST APIs and a FE client
Technical skill nice-to-have:
- Experience with other languages since you may be asked to investigate, understand, and explain non-node.js/GraphQL code
- Building front-end web apps
- Cloud deployment and management (AWS) of a GraphQL environment
- Ability to balance quality, performance, and efficiency within a GraphQL layer
Level of communication with Client:
- This position will work closely with the client. Strong verbal and written communication skills required

- Able to keep Jira documentation up to date
- Able to clearly and consistently articulate needs, dependencies, status, etc.
- Able to ask for help openly or for additional detail to help clarify
- Driven/proactive, self-starter
