Work Conditions/Expectations: 

  • Onsite a minimum of 3 days per week during business hours ranging between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. 

?12-month engagementexpected.

Pls note: Contractor must use their ownequipment/laptop when working off site then data will be uploaded to thedatabase. FF Water will NOT provide a laptop - all work will be done thruSharePoint so the agency has immediate access to all the data/work.   

 

Expected Start and Duration: 

Project Management activities will beginFebruary/ March 2023.  The customer service modernization projects willkick-off in April 2023. The expected duration of the projects is nine monthswith an additional three months of post deployment support. This may beextended based on the actual duration of the project.

 

Job Statement:  

Fairfax Water is seeking a PMP certified Project Manager to manage its customer service modernization program that iscomprised of two projects with schedules that will overlap to enable testing,training, and deployment to occur concurrently.  

 

One project will replace the SAP CustomerInteraction Center (CIC) with a contemporary customer engagement/customerrelationship management solution.  The other project will replace thecontact center platform.  The selected products must integrate with eachother and with Fairfax Water’s existing SAP S/4HANA solution.  Eachproject will be supported by project teams comprised of third-party consultantsand Fairfax Water subject matter experts.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of projects throughoutthe project lifecycle, ensuring projects complete on schedule, with expectedscope, and within budget

• Advise Fairfax Water during vendor contractnegotiations

• Define, document, and manage project scope,schedule, and budget

• Develop, maintain, and distribute standardproject management artifacts (e.g. WBS, risk assessments, project charter,RACIs, communication plan, MS schedule, status reports, etc.)

• Ensure applicable project documentation iscomplete, current, and stored appropriately

• Develop and maintain a detailed projectschedule throughout the project lifecycle

• Assist Fairfax Water in the development andmanagement of a change management plan

• Align project deliverables and milestoneswith projects strategy and objectives

• Advise Fairfax Water leadership and theTechnology managers of status key issues that may impact project completion,budget, or other results, and deliver presentations

• Facilitate project conference calls, statusmeetings, planning sessions, and provide for meeting notes

• Consult project stakeholders andcommunicate project status throughout the project lifecycle

• Provide weekly status reports to keyproject stakeholders

• Identify and mitigate project risks andresolve issues

• Manage project resources, overseeingday-to-day project activities

• Utilize project management applications asappropriate
