- Excellent working knowledge of the following technologies: Java, Databases, Middleware
- Solid experience in developing Java API Services (Soap/Xml/Messaging/RESTful services) and Microservices
- Mastery required in Spring Batch and Spring Boot
- Familiarity with MQ Autosys, Hibernate
- Secondary skills required - Kafka, Cloud Knowledge
- Sound understanding of Object Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming, and familiarity with Design Patterns.
- Hands-on experience with multithreaded systems.
- Experience with iterative/agile development practices.
- Exposure to working in a global delivery team.
- Comfortable with direct interaction with business users at all levels. Skills desired (optional):
- Experience with review-centric development model, focus on frequent reviews & code quality
- Excellent analytical & communication skills
- Independent, ability to take initiative without requiring direct guidance
- Working knowledge of DB2/SQL Server and solid SQL
- Excellent knowledge of Database transaction management, and transaction boundaries are a must
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Defining application objectives and functionality
