• Good understanding of the Data warehousing concepts, Oracle SQL and Teradata SQL expertise.

• Understand the business needs that translate them into a scalable, automated solution.

• Industry work experience in Informatica 9.x or 10.x PowerCenter and IDQ but not preferred.

• Strong technical background covering ETL environments with PowerCenter, Shell scripting, python.

• Experience on data ingestion to AWS and data lake and lake formation.

• Should have good coordination skills and Data Analysis skills.

• Design, develop, test, and support new capabilities and ongoing changes within the various application data marts

• Should work with the multiple teams to understand the requirements, Design, Develop and test the interfaces

• Explore and examine data from different source systems, Data Lake, Data warehouse and business partners to find and implement analytical solutions.

• Deliver data warehouse and analytical data solutions by ingesting, integrating and curating data to deliver information to the business and stakeholders.

• Should have experience with Unit and Integration Testing process

• Strong Data Warehousing skills including Data profiling, Data masking, Auditing in ETL.

• Experience extracting data from a variety of sources, and a desire to expand those skills (SQL server, Teradata, Oracle, DB2)

• Experience handling Linux systems and stored procedures in SAP HANA database.

• Nice to Have - any cloud experience on AWS, Azure, and snowflake with any relevant certifications.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• The Senior Data Engineer will play a leading role on the Enterprise Data Services team, responsible for transforming data from disparate systems to provide insights and analytics for business stakeholders.

• Leverage cloud-based infrastructure to implement technology solutions that are scalable, resilient, and efficient.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, DBAs, cross-functional teams, and business leaders.

• Architect, design, implement and operate data engineering solutions, using Agile methodology, that empower users to make informed business decisions.

• Lead and take ownership of assigned technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Serve as a liaison with business users and walk with them through their problems to identify the best path forward.

• Provide technical counsel to other Data Engineers on the team and may be requested to review and guide their work to ensure all the work comes together successfully to meet the business need.

Work with data owners to document data mappings and transformations to support effective downstream analytics and alerts

• Provide timelines for each VERSION ONE tasks/story, to be entered to project plan

• Update the team on a daily or weekly basis in case of any project blockers and red flags

• Assists in design, development, and implementation of end-to-end complex ETL system using Informatica, Alteryx and SAP HANA tools.

• Provide performance improvement related guidance for scalability and reusability of code and data objects.

• Apply specialized knowledge in assembly or integration, cross-discipline functions, knowledge engineering, industry expertise, or legacy evolution

• Apply industry best practices for master data management, ETL design and development, data quality assessment, metadata management and SAP HANA development.

• Work on the Data Analytical tool like Alteryx and Tableau to get better data performance, data preparation, data blending and analytics with the slice and dice the data for reporting.

• Raise software access requests to any database servers, tools and SharePoint portals required for the project.
