Currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for our development support team. This team will be supporting and building reliable solutions for Azure cloud applications within a modern service-based architecture utilizing the automation and orchestration tools.
The Site Reliability Engineer designs, codes, and implements monitoring dashboard, KPI’s for application stability as a member of an Agile or Operations development team. The development is focused on interactive programming with API’s (REST). The SRE requires a willingness to learn new technologies. The SRE will work with business product owners, developers, support and quality analysts to drive value delivery and will participate in all phases of Agile software development.

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities):
• Designs, codes, tests, and implementing utilizing the automation and orchestration tools using Python, Powershell/SSH, Groovy, any scripting technology.
• Performs unit tests, monitors results, and takes required corrective actions as needed.
• Provides subject matter expertise and technical consultation in new systems development, new package system evaluations and enhancement of existing systems.
• Provide the inputs for the “Form Design” for any ITSM related changes for deploying each use case
• Understanding AI and Machine Learning concepts and assist in the deployment of automation use cases.
• Review and approve the use case solutions.
• Optimizes and enhances applications and interfaces to meet SLA/functional requirements.
• Assists in the production support and maintenance of applications as needed.
• Mentors and coaches other members of the team.
• Works within the ITIL framework.
• Coordinates feasibility studies/proofs of concept to evaluate solutions.
• Actively participates in all team Agile ceremonies.
• Partners with ITS Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure cloud-based systems and programs are secure.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required.
• Any SAFe certification or training or experience on Agile teams is preferred
• ITIL Foundations Certification or training helpful
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a software engineer developing, building, testing, and deploying software
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on design, development, and deployment of API’s (REST)
• Experienced in working with monitoring tools like Dynatrace / Splunk / NewRelic / AppDynamics
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools using Python, Powershell/SSH, Groovy, any scripting technology
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse
• Retail Domain knowledge is desired.
• Exposure to Azure Cloud and API Management
• Experience with Data Analytics - PowerBI
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
• Strong knowledge of database management and file access methods is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
