The Cloud Architect role serves as a key contributor in the strategy, governance, solution design,
implementations, automation, and security of enterprise cloud platforms as part of the Cloud Business
Office (CBO). Works closely with Delivery Leads, Architects, and cross functional teams to accelerate and
mature cloud adoption by meeting key short, medium, and long term objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage Cloud Reference Architectures and ensure they are leveraged across the organization,
maintain and evolve as the new business needs arise.
• Work closely with platform automation teams, to ensure implementations meet CEI standards
and design requirements.
• Work with Solution Architects on capability roadmaps to ensure the evolving demands for
Clouds capabilities are met.
• Research new and emerging cloud technologies.
• Lead the creation of cloud application architecture(s) and provides vision, problem anticipation
and problem-solving advice to the organization.
• Strong automation mindset and passion to identify or develop design strategies to mitigate
manual intervention going forward and always look for ways to automate and simplify the
provisioning paradigm.
• Champion and lead the Architectural Governance process to establish architectural standards.
• Work closely with other Solution Architecture/Designers to ensure consistency and quality of
solutions and knowledge sharing.
• Leverages understanding of key technology and related trends, leading discussions about how
new technologies apply and are to be incorporated into enterprise architecture and roadmaps.
• Provides thought leadership in innovation and technology approaches, both within the
organization and externally, in the industry.
• Ensures technology roadmaps align with and support enterprise architecture.
• Ensures architectural direction is properly aligned with business need and priority.
• Serve as key contributor to Architecture Community of Practice forum.
• Leads the creation of system and application architectures and provides vision, problem
anticipation, and problem-solving ability to the organization.
• Provides strategic guidance to solution architects, technical architects, and technical leads on
projects
• Partner with key business and technical leaders to build and maintain a solid understanding of
the business strategies and priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field, OR
equivalent work experience
• Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices

• 12+ years ‘experience in full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering
applications and architecture services in a production environment.
• 6+ years of experience in designing and document various cloud architectural patterns, apply
them appropriately and make right decisions based on the business needs and approved
standards.
• 5+ years’ experience in the implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a
corporate environment.
• 5+ Years of expert level experience in designing a variety of cloud solutions in a multi cloud
environment mainly by using Azure and/or AWS.
• 5+ Years of expert level experience in IaaS, PaaS, FaaS, in Azure and/or AWS
• Significant experience in designing both green and brown field applications in Cloud and hybrid
environments.
• 5+ Years of experience in well architected Frameworks covering both Azure & AWS.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing integrating SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and legacy on premises
applications.
• 4+ Years of experience in analytics, AI/ML platforms capabilities in Azure and/or AWS cloud
platforms.
• 3+ years of experience in hybrid & multi cloud platform security covering the concepts like
Certificate Management, Key Vaults, Encryption standards, knowledge on regulatory
Compliance standards, Code quality/scanning tools, CVE analysis, Compliance against OWASP,
NVD.
• 3+ Years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud and on-prem DevOps tool chain includes but not
limited to Jenkins, Github, bitbucket, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Terraform.
• Significant experience in multi cloud landing zone operating model definition, Policy &
governance establishment, charge back and show back model tagging design.
• Significant experience in understanding the concepts of VMs/EC2, Subnets, vNets/VPCs, CIDR,
Public and Private DNS concepts, Various gateways, FaaS (Azure functions/Lambda), Azure
SQL/AWSRDS, CDN is expected.
• Exposure to cloud cost management tools, experience in evaluating on-demand versus reserved
capacity spanning from IaaS to cloud native services.
• Exposure to APM tools like New Relic, Dynatrace and Cloud Integrations is a huge plus.
• Significant experience in Identity and access management in Azure, AWS and on-prem IAM
platforms like Microsoft AD, Oracle OIM.
• Any experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a huge plus.
• Any experience in Cloud automation using Terraform, JSON/YAML, Python 3.X, Azure functions
& Aws Lambda is a plus.
• Exposure to AI/ML modeling, Apache Spark, Big data works loads experience is huge plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least four of the following areas: business architecture,
application architecture, data architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, security
disciplines, or operational disciplines
• Extensive knowledge of architectural patterns, APIs, microservices and cloud architecture
• Significant working experience architecting, engineering and operating cloud native solutions,
establishing and leveraging Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service capabilities.
• Ability to integrate Enterprise Architecture processes with other planning and operational
processes
• Ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of leadership with excellent organization,
planning and communication skills.
