JOB DETAIL

Infrastructure PM who has worked on infrastructure projects within PMO with SDLC

 

Mostly focused on server roll outs, software tracking, light project lead. Manage gate deliverables knowing that Tech Lead will do a lot, but the PM need s to manage more status reporting and project activity.

•             Help with SDLC and managing process.

•             Assist with how to organize and get the project pushed through different gates.

Essential Responsibilities:

•             Provides project management experience in planning projects and following SDLC.

•             Manages 1-2 small - medium projects simultaneously.

•             Partners with sponsors and tech leads to strategize team project plans. Focuses on critical success factors, project milestones and deliverables and develops contingency plans.

•             Leads project team meetings, including a review of action plans and tracking of project milestones.

•             Updates action plans weekly and prompts accountable individuals to insure timely task completion. Supports activities of project teams and maintains accurate documentation of team minutes.

•             Maintains risk management plan.

•             Designs communication strategies for project progress.

•             Ensures timely and consistent communication of project priorities, status, timelines, and deliverables to the user community.

•             Establishes and maintains project governance with effective communication and drives meaningful conversations for decision making backed up with due diligence.

•             Effectively facilitate scope and budget management

•             Prepares project status for all levels of communication.

Required Qualifications:

•             Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

•             2+ years related work experience required experience working in a technical delivery organization (IT, application development, product)

•             2 years of project coordination experience required.

•             Vendor management preferred.

•             Experience in project plan management (exposure to MS Project)

•             Experience with budget management

•             Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis, and maintain databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

•             PMO experience

•             Quick learning capability

•             Decision Making: Ability to make decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation. May make recommendations for solving problems.

•             Independence of Action: Ability to set weekly goals for the project teams. Business relationship manager (BRM)/ PMO Manager will provide broad guidance and overall direction.

•             Written Communications: Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.

•             Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

•             Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices, and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations.

•             Teamwork: Ability to lead collaborative teams for larger projects or groups both internal and external

•             Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders.
