This position resides with the Digital & Information Technology department, and partners directly with internal customers primarily within our supply chain SIOP Planning areas. The Business Analyst works with stakeholders to define and document business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives. Working closely with the users and the rest of the D&IT team, this individual will analyze existing business processes and data flows, discuss their findings with the business users, assist with design, document, test, and validate an appropriate solution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively capture business requirements to write clear user scenarios
  • Participate in the process to translate business requirements/user stories into defined specifications including communicating with systems analysts and developers to clarify information
  • Conduct JAD sessions with the business users to elicit requirement.
  • Ability to work in either a Waterfall or Agile project team.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to acquire user feedback and refine requirements
  • Assist with defining test cases per the specifications including clear acceptance criteria
  • Assist with the execution of test cases and validate code meets defined specifications
  • Validation & Testing - Execute system testing when assigned, lead/facilitate user acceptance testing, ensuring that the software delivered fulfills established use cases and specifications
  • Mentor junior level business analysts when called upon
  • Assist the Project Managers with smaller projects and operational tasks as lead when assigned

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or equivalent technical degree required
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an analyst role and/or related business experience with a focus on the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning areas within Supply chain
  • Experience with software development methodologies and processes, including both package and custom development solutions
  • Exposure to product based solution and use case definitions
  • Experience designing and understanding Alteryx workflows
  • Experience with Master Data (MDM) programs and technologies
  • Experience with defining and maintaining artifacts for the BA practice area
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Highly organized and self-driven individual with ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
