- Experience in SQL Server, preferably Azure SQL
- Exposure/experience dealing with OLTP databases
- Experience working in a Cloud based solution/project
- Review and interpret ongoing business requirements from a data modeling perspective
- Ability to come up with data model/schema understanding business requirements and establish entity relationships
- Experience in applying the right indexing strategy for optimal performance of queries
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
- Experience working in a high volume database use cases
- Experience in troubleshooting issues and provide support
- Experience in database sharding and ability to manage multiple databases
