Design, implement, and manage existing and new software

Write well-structured and efficient code that is easy to understand and maintain

Analyze business processes and plans

Requirements and Skills

Knowledge of the software architecture and development process

Database design and modeling experience

Microservices and distributed applications

Experience with building software in the web and cloud environments

Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java, etc.)

Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and UI/UX design

Minimum 3 years of experience designing and developing software applications

Experience working with teams

Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical staff

Work on multiple projects simultaneously

 

Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, 5-8 years of experience developing and implementing software applications

 

Experience

Insurance Industry and/or insurance software development experience

Proven experience as a Software Developer or Engineers in an enterprise environment

Experience in the .NET stack, including Visual Studio, SQL Server, Reporting, BI, and the .NET Framework

Knowledge of the following technologies:

Object-Oriented Design and Code in Java, C++, preferably in C# (Clean Code, SOLID)

Comfortable writing SQL queries and procedures

Experience with web services, microservices, API, Databases, SQL

Knowledge of web technologies such as JQuery, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, Dotnet Core 3.1+, Bootstrap, HTML5, Angular

Bonus experience includes:

Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform

Automating the build and release process (CI/CD)

Automated testing

Mobile development

Passion for coding and building great software

Familiarity with agile methodologies

Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team and to work on multiple projects simultaneously
